Traditional Chinese Medicine is gaining increasing recognition worldwide for therapy as well as the cultivation of health and longevity.














Course Outline:
Module 1  (3 lectures – 9 hours)
•       Fundamentals principles of TCM – yin yang, five-phase theory, holism
•       Qi, blood, Jin, organ systems and channels
•       Causes of Illness
•       Some common Chinese herbs and prescriptions
•       Introduction to acupuncture and acupressure
•       Cultivation of Health (Yang Shen)

**Module 2  (3 lectures – 9 hours)
•       History of Chinese medicine;  scientific nature of TCM
•       Principles of diagnosis and treatment
•       Classification and characteristics of Chinese materia medica and prescriptions
•       More Chinese herbs and prescriptions
•       Medicated diets for health and longevity

**Participants may not attend Module 2 without having attended Module 1  or its equivalent.
